Outreach Activities
Since 2022, I have led and supported a range of K-12 mathematics outreach activities in the Stillwater community and across Oklahoma. These programs promote mathematical enrichment, problem solving, competition preparation, and mentorship for students at different stages of their mathematical development.
1. Stillwater Middle School Math Club
Founded in 2024, the Stillwater Middle School Math Club provides enrichment opportunities for students interested in mathematics. The program emphasizes problem solving, mathematical reasoning, and preparation for competitions such as MATHCOUNTS.
Several students from the club have advanced to the Oklahoma MATHCOUNTS State Competition. The Stillwater Middle School team placed 3rd at the 2026 Oklahoma State Competition and 4th at the 2025 Oklahoma State Competition.
2. Math Adventure Summer Camp
In Summer 2025, we organized the inaugural OSU Math Adventure Summer Camp for students in grades 6-10. The camp brought together 38 students for a multi-day enrichment program featuring mathematics lectures, problem-solving sessions, mathematical games, competitions, and guest presentations by OSU and OSSM faculty.
3. High School Student Mentoring
Through the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Mentorship Program, I mentor high school students on advanced mathematical topics and research-style learning. Students in this program explore topics beyond the standard high school curriculum and gain experience with independent mathematical investigation.
4. Stillwater Chinese School
Since 2022, I have served as a mathematics lecturer at the Stillwater Chinese School, offering enrichment courses for students in the local community.
5. Math Competition Coordination
Since 2023, I have coordinated the Math Kangaroo competition at the Stillwater-OSU center, supporting local students' participation in national mathematics contests.
