Outreach Activities
Since 2022, I have led a range of K-12 mathematics outreach activities in the Stillwater community and across Oklahoma. These activities emphasize mathematical enrichment, problem-solving, competition preparation, and mentoring.
1. Stillwater Middle School Math Club
Founded in 2024, the Stillwater Middle School (SMS) Math Club provides mathematical enrichment activities for middle school students. The program focuses on problem solving, mathematical reasoning, and preparation for mathematics competitions such as MATHCOUNTS.
Multiple students advanced to the Oklahoma MATHCOUNTS State Competition. The SMS team won 3rd place in 2026 State Competition, and 4th place in 2025 State Competition.
2. Math Adventure Summer Camp
In Summer 2025, we organized the inaugural OSU Math Adventure Summer Camp for students in grades 6–10. The camp brought together 38 students for a multi-day enrichment program featuring mathematics lectures, mathematical games, math competitions, and guest presentations by OSU and OSSM faculty.
3. High School Student Mentoring
Through the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) Mentorship Program, I mentor high school students on advanced mathematical topics and research-style learning. Students in this program explore mathematics topics beyond the standard high school curriculum and gain experience in mathematical research.
4. Stillwater Chinese School
Since 2022, I have served as a mathematics lecturer for math class at the Stillwater Chinese School, offering enrichment courses for local community students.
5. Math Competition Coordination
Since 2023, I have coordinated the Math Kangaroo Competition at the Stillwater-OSU center, supporting local students' participation in national mathematics contests.
