Textbook: S. H. Friedberg, A. J. Insel, and L. E. Spence, Linear Algebra, 4th Edition, Pearson, 2003.

This course may be viewed as enhanced and expanded version of standard undergraduate Linear Algebra that was put on rigorous foundation. One of the main skills developed in this course is the ability to write clear and precise proofs.

Your grade will be determined by the Midterm (40%) and the Final (40%) Exams, as well as by regular home assignments (20%) that will be collected every Tuesday. We use the standard scale:
A 90-100%
B 80-89%
C 70-79%
D 60-69%
F 59% and lower
Note that the above numbers are percentages of the highest possible score in the course.

Make-up Exams are given in cases of serious illness or emergency, and supporting documents are required for a make-up.

Prerequisites: Linear Algebra MATH 3013
