Description:

The goal of this session is to bring together researchers with interests in combinatorial aspects of flag varieties and their subvarieties including Schubert varieties, Springer fibers, and Hessenberg varieties. Such research frequently involves important combinatorial objects such as symmetric functions, partitions, root systems and Coxeter groups. This special session will promote collaborations between mathematicians who work in this area of combinatorics and geometry, and are driving current developments in the field.
